Required Education
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience in STEM.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• Strong experience with Python.
• Candidate can be a Data Engineer or Backend Python Developer with strong application development experience using Python as the primary programming language.
• Senior-level candidate.
• 5+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist specializing in Machine Learning Modeling, Ranking, Recommendations, or Personalization systems.
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing scalable and reliable machine learning systems for training, inference, monitoring, and iteration.
• Strong background in ML, DL, and LLM algorithms, model architectures, and training techniques.
• Experience building solutions using AI tools.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark, TensorFlow, or other analytical/model-building programming languages.
• Proficiency with LLM tools.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with Python testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with Linux, including running commands, shell scripting, deployment, and Linux features.
• Experience working with Java.
• Must understand finance, securities, and the trade lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Experience with GenAI/LLM projects.

Overview
Seeking a senior Python professional with expertise in backend application development, data engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing scalable Python-based solutions, working with large datasets, Linux environments, Spark/PySpark, and modern AI/LLM technologies. This role requires collaboration across global technology teams, mentoring developers, and partnering with business and management teams to deliver innovative solutions while supporting financial services and capital markets initiatives. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and technical skills, deep knowledge of software engineering best practices, and experience designing reliable, high-performance machine learning systems. They will also contribute to architecture, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.

Job Duties
• Architect, design, and implement robust Python-based solutions.
• Lead global technology teams across different time zones in a hybrid work environment.
• Drive OOPS-based development and mentor team members on advanced Python coding techniques and features.
• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions, deploy new products, and implement process improvements.
• Resolve high-impact problems and projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and establish standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of business architecture and infrastructure integration.
• Perform in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Write and use shell scripts and leverage Linux features.
• Implement Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure software quality and maintainability.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made while safeguarding the firm's reputation, clients, and assets.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and ethical business practices.
• Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
