• Experience working with dispense equipment suppliers

• Experience with scientific application methods and product development

• Business acumen and customer-facing experience

• Experience with automotive adhesives

Automotive Adhesives Service Technician Overview

• The Automotive Adhesives Technical Service Engineer serves as a technical leader supporting both developmental and commercialized products within automotive electronic applications

• This role focuses on optimizing material application processes, troubleshooting product and process-related challenges, and delivering technical solutions that support customer success

• The position requires direct interaction with customers through site visits, demonstrations, training sessions, and technical consultations

• The engineer collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to validate product performance, conduct laboratory testing, and support product development initiatives

• Success in this role requires strong expertise in automotive adhesives, coatings, and electronic materials, along with the ability to analyze data, solve complex technical issues, and communicate findings through detailed technical reports

• The individual will also support technical training programs for customers, field sales teams, and developing technical talent while contributing to strategic growth initiatives and emerging technologies



Job Duties

• Provide technical leadership for developmental and commercialized products

• Optimize material application processes to improve performance and efficiency

• Interact directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve product and process-related issues

• Lead customer visits, product demonstrations, technical recommendations, and training sessions

• Support strategic initiatives and breakthrough technology programs

• Conduct laboratory testing and evaluations for internal and external customers

• Prepare and maintain technical reports and documentation

• Deliver technical training to field sales teams and customers

• Support technical competency development and mentoring of technical staff

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify and implement process improvements

• Work within a laboratory environment to support testing, validation, and product development activities.
