Job Description
The ideal candidate will have at minimum the following skills and experience:
• Prior Underwriting Technician experience
• Knowledge of the health insurance market
• Demonstrates strong ability to work independently and to adjust schedule to meet service standards
• Proven ability to remain focused in fast paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales staff and department staff
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office application (Excel and Access)
• Proficient use of computer systems
• Demonstrates professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Overview:
The Financial Services Analyst is part of the Group Benefits Underwriting team and is responsible for the data entry and evaluation of new employer groups and new enrollees to the Self-Funded product.

The duties will include:
• Enter new group enrollment data to online system and appropriate worksheets
• Evaluate group enrollment materials for completeness
• Analyzes new business quote/proposal for accuracy
• Analyzes broker appointments
• Evaluate eligibility and enrollment requirements of new enrollees to employer group plan
• Evaluate employer changes
• Works collaboratively with sales offices and underwriters to meet company objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to improve agent satisfaction
• Execute new functions as assigned
