Job Description
***Only qualified AML Analyst candidates located near the New Castle, DE area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***



Required Education

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience



Preferred Certifications

* CAMS Certification preferred



Required Experience

* 1-5 years of experience reviewing customer transactions and information for potentially suspicious activity and performing AML or financial investigations

* Experience writing and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports SARs in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements

* Experience conducting financial investigations and analyzing transaction activity

* Good job tenure required



Tech Skills

* Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to money laundering terrorist financing and financial and securities related crimes

* Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act BSA requirements

* Knowledge of USA PATRIOT Act requirements

* Knowledge of US Treasury AML guidelines

* Knowledge of OFAC SEC FINRA FRB and FinCEN requirements

* Knowledge of SAR requirements

* Knowledge of Senior Public Figures Money Service Businesses Wealth Management and Retail Banking preferred

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Access Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook

* Strong research skills including experience with online search tools

* Strong writing analytical and communication skills

* Excellent organizational time management and project management skills

* Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

* Ability to multitask and complete projects on time

Responsibilities

* Review system generated and manual cases for activity conducted by client customers

* Manage a caseload of investigations and perform analysis and follow up from beginning to completion according to AML procedures and policies

* Document and report case review and investigation findings and prepare case files for review

* Conduct research using available bank systems the Internet and databases consistent with investigation requirements

* Collect and examine financial statements transaction data and other documents to identify unusual transaction patterns

* Follow up with additional Points of Contact POCs to obtain information supporting investigations

* Document all research and analysis conducted in the Case Management System

* Create Suspicious Activity Reports SARs and recommend relationship retention or termination

* Track account closures as required

* Liaise with other compliance investigation business legal surveillance and law enforcement teams where applicable
