Job Description
Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience



Preferred Education:

Advanced certifications or training in: Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS); Microsoft Power Platform; Enterprise data or integration technologies



Required Skills & Experience:

Core Platform Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience administering: Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)

• Experience managing: Servers, gateways, and infrastructure supporting Power Platform

• Deep understanding of: Platform architecture, scalability, and performance



Proactive Platform Ownership

• Proven ability to: Take initiative without direction; Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities; Design and execute actionable improvement plans

• Experience implementing: Platform governance; Monitoring, alerting, and notification frameworks; Preventative controls and stability measures



Platform Operations & Engineering

• Strong experience with: Root cause analysis (RCA); Performance tuning and capacity planning; Incident/problem management

• Ability to: Improve response times and operational processes; Lead both tactical fixes and strategic improvements



Infrastructure & Systems Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge of: Windows and/or Unix/Linux systems; Virtualization (VMware); Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)

• Broad exposure to: Middleware, BI, and integration platforms



Change & Support Leadership

• Experience: Leading or owning change management processes; Supporting 24x7 production environments

This role is a senior-level Platform Operations Engineer / Platform Administrator responsible for owning and evolving the enterprise data services platform ecosystem, with a primary focus on Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate).

The position goes beyond support—requiring a proactive, initiative-driven individual who can:

• Drive platform stability, scalability, and governance

• Identify and implement architectural and operational improvements

• Ensure long-term growth and reliability of the platform ecosystem

The role also includes secondary support across a wide range of enterprise data and integration platforms, acting as a technical expert and escalation point (Tier 3).



Job Duties:

Primary Responsibilities

• Own and manage Power Platform environment: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate ; Gateways and supporting infrastructure

• Proactively: Identify improvement opportunities; Develop and execute platform enhancement plans

• Ensure: Platform stability, reliability, and scalability; Long-term growth readiness



Platform Engineering & Operations

• Analyze system performance and: Troubleshoot issues; Conduct root cause analysis; Implement corrective actions

• Perform: Capacity planning; Performance optimization



Governance & Compliance

• Ensure infrastructure: Meets configuration standards ; Is patched and compliant with approved designs Maintain: Operational best practices and controls



• Change Management

• Lead and participate in:

o Change planning and execution

• Minimize:

o Service disruption during changes

• Improve and automate:

o Change processes

Support & Incident Management

• Provide:

o Tier 3 support for complex issues

• Participate in:

o On-call rotation, shift work, emergency response

• Coordinate with:

o Vendors and internal stakeholders

Cross-Platform Support

• Provide support (as needed) for:

o Enterprise data, BI, integration, and security platforms

Leadership & Mentorship

• Act as:

o Technical expert across platforms

• Mentor:

o Junior team members on complex issues
