Job Description
***Only qualified Business Support Representative candidates located in the Knoxville, TN area will be considered due to the position requiring an on-site presence***

Preferred Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Broad contemporary knowledge of management services principles, practices, and procedures
• Competence at the administrative professional level
• Strong planning, organizing, research, and analytical skills
• Experience analyzing and interpreting financial, operational, and administrative data
• Ability to interpret procedures and recommend actions to management
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Experience working with organizational or plant systems, standards, and processes
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement projects
• Capability to coordinate administrative functions and resources
• Experience supporting management decision-making with data and analysis

Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Experience acting as a technical lead or project lead
• Experience coordinating cross-functional administrative activities
• Familiarity with budgeting, cost accounting, and business performance reporting
• Experience supporting process improvement and technology changes
• Experience coordinating procurement, facilities, and equipment management
• Experience supervising or coordinating work of junior administrative staff

This role is responsible for applying broad knowledge of management services functions, including administrative support, planning, research, and analysis. The position supports organizational operations by coordinating management services activities, analyzing operational data, recommending process improvements, and assisting management with decision-making. The role may also act as a technical or project lead and coordinate administrative functions such as budgeting, procurement, facilities management, and performance reporting.

Typical duties may include:
• Provides multi-functional expertise in area(s) of budget/cost accounting, business planning/performance reporting, and a variety of administrative activities including facilities and equipment management; information management, work management, procurement/materials management, events planning, and legal/contractual services
• Executes & implements improvements in processes associated with assigned functional area that support management including, but not limited to, planning/research/analysis/reporting, and specialized administrative activities
• Organizes, plans, and devises work methods to initiate, implement, and complete projects; interpreting procedures, and making or recommending actions to management
• Accesses data from various sources of information including financial, operating, and administrative systems. Analyzes data, converts information for decision makers, and provides a full range of options with probabilities to decision makers
• May coordinate organization/site facility and equipment inventories, service agreements, and coordination of procurement needs
• May coordinate and oversee assigned work activities of the first three job standard levels
• Demonstrated competence at the administrative professional level
• Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, researching, and evaluating business needs for assigned functional areas
• Demonstrated competence in providing customer service
• Experience in plant/organization systems, standards, and processes
