Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
• Strong data entry and typing accuracy in high-volume environments
• Prior administrative or clerical experience (government, legal, healthcare, or insurance preferred)
• Experience handling formal written correspondence and document preparation
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills (phone and written)
• Experience with scanning, filing, and records management in an office setting
• Ability to work in a structured, compliance-focused environment with sensitive information

Appeals Processing Specialist Job Responsibilities:
• This position supports the Appeals Office by performing a variety of administrative and clerical functions related to the processing of appeals cases
• Responsibilities include answering and routing phone inquiries, entering and updating case information in eligibility systems, and preparing formal correspondence such as hearing notices, abandonment letters, withdrawal confirmations, and appeal decisions
• The role also involves extracting appeal cases from internal systems, maintaining accurate records, and handling document management tasks, including copying, scanning, indexing, and filing
• This is a detail-oriented position requiring strong accuracy, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and consistent adherence to procedural guidelines in a high-volume administrative environment
