Job Description
***Only qualified Business Support Representative candidates located in the Muscle Shoals , AL area will be considered due to the position requiring an on-site presence***
Required Education:
• Degree, certification, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education:
• Degree related to business administration, management, or a similar field would be advantageous
Required Skills and Experience:
• Demonstrated competence at an administrative representative level
• Experience with PC software applications
• General knowledge of organizational/plant business systems, standards, and processes
• Ability to: Perform both standard and non-standard transactions independently; Identify and resolve data discrepancies; Research and interpret information sources; Apply and explain procedures and practices
• Strong coordination and organizational skills
• Experience in handling administrative functions such as: Records management; Procurement/materials management; Business reporting systems; Office equipment coordination
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Budgeting/accounting
• Payroll operations
• Facilities and equipment coordination
• Event planning
• Legal/contractual services
• Workers’ compensation claims
• Experience in training or onboarding others
• Ability to coordinate work activities for junior staff
This role provides administrative and operational support across multiple functional areas within management support services. The position involves handling both routine and non-routine transactions, applying established procedures, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating activities across business functions such as procurement, records management, payroll, and office operations.
Job Duties:
Administrative & Operational Support
• Perform daily transactions independently within assigned functional areas
• Support various business functions such as planning, accounting, payroll, and procurement
Records & Data Management
• Ensure proper classification, storage, retention, and disposal of records
• Enter and manage data in business and reporting systems
• Generate and format standard and non-standard reports
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in business data
Coordination & Communication
• Act as point of contact for office and communication equipment
• Coordinate activities across multiple functional areas
• Serve as liaison for telecommunications and office tools
Procurement & Materials Management
• Requisition, receive, and manage goods and services
• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements
Training & Support
• Provide orientation or training in assigned areas
• Potentially coordinate work for entry-level staff
