Required Education:

• High school diploma or GED



Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in healthcare reimbursement or insurance collections

• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Strong communication and customer service skills



Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Experience with specialty pharmacy billing or collections

• Experience in healthcare claims or reimbursement issue resolution



Insurance Follow-up Representative Overview:

• The Insurance Follow-Up Representative is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate resolution of outstanding insurance and patient credit balances within a specialty pharmacy setting

• This role involves reviewing accounts, maintaining detailed documentation, and communicating with insurance providers and patients to resolve discrepancies

• The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage high-volume workloads in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

• Candidates will play a key role in supporting reimbursement processes while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders



Job Duties:

• Review accounts related to prescription dispensing and resolve outstanding balances

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of account activities

• Update and manage patient demographic and billing information

• Complete assigned work queues in accordance with payer and company guidelines

• Communicate with insurance providers and third parties to resolve overpayments

• Process refunds accurately and in a timely manner

• Respond to inquiries via phone, internet, and written communication



Specific Details to Call Attention To:

• Hybrid role: approximately 4 days per month in office + additional days for training as needed

• Must live within 1 hour of the work location

• Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible start time (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST)

• Focus on insurance follow-up, reimbursement, and collections

• Fast-paced, high-volume work environment

• Must reside within 1 hour of the work location
