Job Description
Only qualified Asst 2, Accounts Receivable candidates located near Stuart, Florida area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence



Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent experience



Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of outbound patient collections experience in the medical industry

• Candidate must be able to read an Explanation of Benefits



Required Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Exceptional listening skills with ability to de-escalate conversations

• Understanding of insurance EOBs and denial reasoning

• Ability to navigate multiple electronic systems while maintaining data accuracy

• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills

• Ability to work independently with flexibility and problem-solving skills

• Intermediate math skills required

• Strong PC skills with moderate Excel knowledge

• Knowledge of call center telecommunications software including outbound dialer

• Ability to coach and mentor new Patient Collections team members

• Maintain documentation on coaching efforts and report performance feedback to management



Requirements

• Review open patient balances for accuracy and place outbound calls to collect payments or establish payment plans

• Investigate patient billing inquiries and communicate findings effectively

• Answer inbound patient calls

• Thoroughly document patient accounts and collection activity

• Clear understanding of Medicare guidelines and payer requirements

• Identify trends and communicate potential resolutions to leadership

• Complete all assigned internal notes

• Take actions related to patient correspondence

• Maintain production and quality expectations for the department

• Ability to work standard operating business hours

• Ability to work remotely with functioning internet capabilities

• Ability to lift or move up to 10 lbs

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• Regularly required to talk and hear
