Job Summary
• Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join the team
• Responsible for reviewing and resolving exception items within the system of record
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of work in alignment with departmental performance standards
• Ideal candidate is analytical, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and focused on full resolution of issues
• Requires strong independent judgment, attention to detail, and cross-team communication
• Note: This role is not aligned with traditional Accounts Payable work and is focused on exception handling, research, and resolution-based accounting processes

Key Responsibilities
• Review and process exception items in the system of record, ensuring completion within established performance guidelines
• Balance and reconcile assigned accounts while meeting or exceeding departmental expectations
• Perform complex research to resolve exception items, including rotational assignments
• Investigate discrepancies and apply appropriate corrections to maintain data integrity
• Maintain strong organization, accuracy, and consistency in all work performed
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues before escalating to team leads
• Apply strong independent judgment in decision-making and problem resolution

Systems & Technical Requirements
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to use Microsoft OneNote for documentation and collaboration

About the Team
• Team consists of 10 members
• Contractor will work closely with team members during training
• Regular interaction with internal business line partners

• Format: In-person or Microsoft Teams (camera required for virtual interviews)
