• Experience with reconciliation tools such as Enterprise Recon or similar systems
Preferred Skills
• Advanced Excel skills (manual reconciliation, data analysis)
• Experience working with high-volume transaction environments
• Familiarity with financial reporting and accounting systems
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Specialist to support high-volume financial transaction processing and account reconciliation activities. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data across multiple accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
• Process, reconcile, and maintain various financial accounts and ledgers
• Handle transactions including accounts payable, journal entries, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and billing statements
• Ensure all transactions are accurate, complete, and processed within required timelines
• Research discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrections
• Respond to internal inquiries and resolve issues efficiently
• Post, validate, and verify financial data across systems
• Prepare and run routine financial reports and analyses
• Perform high-volume manual matching (up to 2,000 items per 8-hour shift) with strong attention to detail
• Complete monthly reconciliations within designated close windows
• Research, escalate, and resolve aging items within 5 days
Team & Work Environment
• Part of the Corporate Functions team, consisting of 16 members
• Based in US Bank Plaza, Minneapolis
• Primarily internal-facing role with no customer-facing responsibilities
