Job Description
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

Job Responsibilities/Qualifications
• Assist in monthly general ledger close and financial statement preparation.
• Timely closing within 5-7 business days of the month-end. Monitors, reviews, and reconciles official and general ledger accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis - 40%
• Assists in the preparation of regulatory and audit reports. Assists with NCUA, FRB, Opinion Exams/Audit cycles.
• Assists with the resolution of findings or DOR items - 15%
• Performs HTM payroll and biweekly AHM/HFCU payroll entries and recons, handles monthly benefits entries and reconciliations - 10%
• Manage annual capital expenditures budgeting/projections/tracking - 25%
• Manage tax-related programs primarily for employee State and Federal taxes - 10%

Job Overview:
The senior accountant manages accounting records and is responsible for following financial procedures, records, and statements for compliance with laws and regulations. Duties include management of accounts payable/Expense Reimbursement resources, fixed assets, as well as reconciling the general ledger and bank reconciliations. Prepare documentation for the External Auditors. Analyze financial transactions for discrepancies and alert the Controller as necessary. Contribute to annual audits. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Manage payroll for the institution as well as affiliate customers. This position also supports the development of the budget and production of management reporting.
