Years of Experience:
• 5+ years of experience

Education:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting with an active CPA license

Must Have:
• Public accounting and/or related industry accounting experience
• Solid knowledge of ASC 842 and proven experience in its application
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity working in a public company SOX-compliant environment

Nice to Have:
• Experience with SAP ERP system, Lease Harbor Apex system, and next generation AI tools is a plus
• A proactive approach, consistently achieving deadlines and producing high-quality outcomes

We are looking for a Senior Lease Accountant (Contractor) to support our elite team in Santa Clara, CA. This role will be responsible for preparation of all lease accounting activities related to real estate, data center, and other leases. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams and will report to the Senior Manager of Lease Accounting.

Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly and quarterly close procedures, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and footnote disclosures, for all lease-related accounts worldwide
• Assist in reviewing lease agreements and evaluate accounting impact under ASC 842
• Collaborate with the FP&A and Lease Administration teams for lease accounting and operational matters including assessing completeness and accuracy of data in the lease accounting system
• Perform analyses related to lease-related topics, including asset retirement obligations, tenant improvement allowances, impairment assessment, and income statement and balance sheet fluctuations
• Maintain compliance with SOX controls and the Company's lease accounting policy
