Overview:
Client is looking for an Infrastructure Accounting Analyst, Data Center to join the team in Austin, Texas on a temporary basis . The candidate must be a highly driven, high energy, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounting for several data center construction projects from record to report including responsibility for month end close processes and SOX controls
• Own multiple balance sheet accounts and the corresponding sub-ledger for varying levels of complexity
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our Infrastructure Business Partners to understand the broader business objectives, develop processes jointly and provide accounting guidance.
• Identify process gaps and independently develop and implement solutions.
• Provide support to finance management and other cross functional partners as needed. This includes ad hoc financial analysis, technical analysis, and special projects
• Review transactions, contracts, and accounting treatments, and prepare or approve manual journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage accounting processes for data center and facilities projects, including handling Capex/Opex accruals, mass asset additions, and Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) creation and confirmations.
• Execute internal controls and validation procedures, and maintain essential financial trackers such as non-GAAP schedules and location matrices.
• Utilize Oracle Financials, Hyperion, and SQL to support financial process management, reporting, and data analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external teams, facilitate FP&A sync meetings, and provide ad hoc financial and technical analysis as needed.
• Analyze large data sets to identify process gaps, and design and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent team player who is adept at working as part of a larger team located in different locations BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of financial statement auditing, financial accounting, or
• 5+ similar experience
• Experience analyzing large data sets and working with business partners to effect changes Experience in optimizing or re-designing existing processes resulting from business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
• Big 4 audit experience and CPA
• Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion
