Job Description

Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

Required Skills and Experience
• 1–2 years of accounting experience with strong understanding of debits and credits (DR/CR)
• 1–2 years of Excel experience
• General ledger accounting experience
• Cash reconciliation experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of GAAP principles
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Desired Skills
• Mutual fund accounting experience
• Financial services industry background
• Experience with NAV calculations
• Corporate action processing experience
• Exposure to SEC regulations
• Experience working with custodians, transfer agencies, or prime brokers

Job Duties
• Maintain the general ledger and records of mutual funds of varying complexity
• Produce end of day net asset value calculations
• Prepare daily general ledger accounting
• Perform prime broker/bank cash reconciliations
• Complete advisor/portfolio management processing
• Apply corporate actions
• Process expense accruals and payment postings
• Determine daily net asset value and mill rates
• Conduct portfolio pricing analysis and validations
• Distribute timely internal and external information
• Perform portfolio reconciliations
• Partner with administrators, transfer agencies, and prime brokers/custodians
• Ensure Fund Accounting functions comply with SEC regulations and GAAP principles

Typical Day
• Reviewing and posting daily accounting entries
• Reconciling cash and portfolio balances
• Supporting mutual fund NAV calculations
• Communicating with internal teams and external financial partners
• Researching discrepancies and resolving accounting issues
• Validating pricing and portfolio activity
• Ensuring compliance with reporting and accounting standards
