Job Description
Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality, Food Service Management, Marketing, Operations, or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered
Required Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in food service, food distribution, hospitality, restaurant operations, franchise operations, or outside sales
• Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships
• Strong sales, business development, and account management skills
• Ability to analyze sales data and develop growth strategies
• Strong presentation and training skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Experience using CRM systems and business reporting tools
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel within assigned territory
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Job Summary:
The Area Manager is responsible for driving food sales growth, franchisee and licensee success, and territory expansion within an assigned market. This role serves as a trusted business partner to franchisees and licensees by providing sales support, operational guidance, training, and business development strategies designed to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate combines food service knowledge, relationship management skills, and sales expertise to help customers grow their businesses. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, the ability to analyze operational and sales data, and a passion for helping customers achieve measurable results.
Job Duties
Sales & Territory Development:
• Drive same-store food sales growth and profitability across assigned accounts
• Prospect and develop new customer relationships within the territory
• Identify opportunities to increase food sales and improve customer performance
• Execute territory growth plans to achieve sales and financial objectives
• Present products, promotional programs, and business solutions to customers
Franchise & Licensee Support:
• Build strong relationships with franchisees, licensees, and store personnel
• Provide ongoing operational and sales support to maximize food sales
• Serve as a trusted advisor regarding food programs and product offerings
• Monitor account performance and implement corrective action plans when needed
• Reduce account attrition and support customer retention efforts
Training & Business Consulting:
Train customers and store personnel on-
• Product knowledge
• Sales techniques
• Customer service
• Food safety
• Operational standards
• Company programs and initiatives
• Support implementation of new product launches and promotional programs
Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Analyze sales data, operational metrics, and market trends
• Utilize business intelligence tools and customer data to identify opportunities
• Develop actionable recommendations to improve sales and profitability
• Prepare and present sales reports to leadership
• Monitor key performance indicators and territory objectives
Compliance & Operational Oversight:
• Ensure franchise and license agreements are followed
• Monitor compliance with company standards and operational requirements
• Provide coaching and support to improve operational execution
• Communicate policy updates, marketing initiatives, and procedural changes
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with internal departments to support territory success
• Attend training sessions and company meetings
