Job Responsibilities
1. System Maintenance: Develops, implements, and/or maintains one or more accounting systems.
2. Transaction Processing: Manages Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Revenue Reconciliation.
3. Reporting: Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.
4. Statement Preparation: Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements.
5. Expense Monitoring: Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects.
6. Record Keeping: Provides a record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
7. Tax Preparation: May prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
8. Revenue Recognition: May assist in the setup of processes that properly capture, track, and report revenue in accordance with company revenue recognition policy.
9. Stakeholder Support: May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
10. Billing Compliance: May be involved in reviewing, tracking, and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
